Vacation

In July 2002, we went on vacation to Kettle Moraine County, Wisconsin.
We stayed in a cabin with a private lake right out our back door. Lots
of fun! The dogs of course loved this!
Below are photos of Ginger and Pooch from our vacation.

The
whole time we were on vacation, I kept trying to show Ginger the little
fish that were swimming around the dock, but she never noticed them. I
would point into the water and say, "Ginger, look! Look!" (a 'command' she
usually knows) with no luck at all. These fish were very bold and aggressive,
if you threw them some food they would swarm up and snatch it.
Finally on the day before we were going to leave, I decided to try throwing
some bread to the fish right near Ginger to see if she'd notice them then...
Ginger was standing in the shallow water where the fish congregated. I threw
in the bread, a bunch of fish came zooming up in a group like piranhas,
and Ginger stared into the water at them! Then, she DUNKED her head
into the water to try to catch one!
The funny thing is, I had been trying for a while to get her to grab her
toy from under the water, and she never would put her head/nose under at
all...
What ARE those things?!??
