NOTE: Chicago's "Dog Friendly Areas" now require a permit. 
The City of Chicago has recently enacted a new law which requires all users of "Dog Friendly Areas" including Montrose Dog Beach to purchase a special permit. The permits are $35 plus $15 for each additional dog and can be purchased at participating veterinarians. Taking your dog to one of the dog parks without a permit can result in a $1000 fine. You can see all the permit rules here.
